Ever since I was a young child I have been creating things with fabric and threads- items ranging from dolls clothes to clothes for myself and my children. Recently I studied City and Guilds in Patchwork and Quilting for three years at Southend College and since taking early retirement from my teaching career I have been able to indulge in my passion for making things and sharing my interests with other like minded people. Along with Sharne and Nickie I am a member of School House Arts (www.schoolhousearts.blogspot.com) , a group formed by four of us after we completed our City and Guilds Course. We run workshops sharing our interests in textiles with others. As a fairly new member of Fen Edge Textiles I am enjoying the challenge of working to themes and deadlines, and using new techniques and materials to create mixed media art.
