Pamela Tasker

After spending my working life in the garment industry, I have just entered the world of textile art with the Fen Edge Textile group.  I have always been fascinated by textiles and stitch in the making of clothes.   Now with textile art I am exploring stitch and textiles from a different approach.

My inspiration for the pieces I make, comes from shape and line.  The shapes in architectural details in both modern and classic buildings, pattern from tiles and paving and the line from both new and historic fashion garments.   All these give me a starting point for a project.

I still enjoy making clothes but also make bags, cushions and other decorative items.  My projects now integrate textile art into the piece I am creating.
